We are not talking about Caucasian Albania (CA). Nevertheless since we are on the topic, the area of CA was merely known as Albania. for example, Alba is the scottish gaelic name for Scotland.
moreover, this is also noted in many other languages such as Welsh “Yr Alban”
The Latin name Albania denotes “mountainous land” the area of ancient CA and ancient Illyria(now present day Albania) are very mountainous lands
Thanks God we have albania. Otherwise we all had to hurry up to kill our selfs. What a miserable life was going to be without albania. What a joke!. @iskander982 albanian people are named skander in honour of scanderbeg. his real name was gjergj kastrioti. the “scander” does come from iskander, which is a turkish title. thats because scanderbeg was kidnapped as a kid by the turks, and he grew up and became a general in the turkish army. and the turks compared him to alexander the great, thats why the gave him the title scanderbeg.
